Not sure of???: Should be seen by lower extremity orthopedic specialist and perhaps rheumatologist to determine the cause--which is most often prior injury to limit the blood supply to the talus bone ;;rare cause would be prolonged use of steroids.

Either: Either an orthopedist or a podiatrist can treat the condition. Often, just offloading the foot will allow the talus to heal. If not, bone stimulation or surgery with remodeling or even fusion may be needed.
