I have had chapped lips for the last 3 weeks and yesterday i developed a tiny blister on my lip, it doesn't look like herpes but how do i know?

You don't: As common as HSV1, the cause of herpes is, the possibility of it being herpes is high. You can have a test done by your doc to be sure. Good oral hygeine and lack of intimate contact until you do know would be prudent.
