Proteinuria: Fever with protein in the urine may be related to urinary infection, usually other abnormalities also noted in the urine analysis. Any chronic problems like diabetes, hypertension can affect kidneys cause the protein to spill. There are other conditions causing protein loss usually not found by the common dipstick method of urine analysis, usually checked with special urine and blood testings
