There's a few things: It takes proper care, and takes about 10 or so days. Keep covered with antibiotic cream and gauze. Don't apply alcohol or peroxide to the tattoo. Don't soak in a tub. Wash with mild soap and water. It will bleed for a while, so keep covered until this stops. Always use a lot of high value sunblock or the colors will bleach out as well as the fine lines. Good luck.
