Most likely not: It is not clear if the pt had a blood clot in the leg or to the lung. Hip pain per se is not a sign of a blood clot. There is more to the story we have not heard. It is important to note that pain in the hip is not noted to be a sign of a blood clot. If you take BCP it puts you at a higher risk. Best wishes.
