A member asked:

Is it normal at 8.5 months pregnant to have uncomfortable sore like pain above the pubic bone ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pubic bone pain: At "8.5 months of pregnancy" the two bones of the pubic area lose the strong binding together in the non-pregnant state, and can therefore cause pain with shifting locations relative to each other with movement (walking, climbing stairs, etc.). This is normal, and allows for expansion of the pelvis for childbirth.
