Decongestant: a decongestant might help, also getting to the cause of the mucous cough- might help, it could be allergies, exposure to mold, reflux- just to name a few conditions. Wouldn't it be better to find the cause than to just put a bandaid on it. Consult with your doctor for more evaluation- a decongestant may contain and antihistamine which could help with allergies.
