Exam needed: I recommend a careful examination of the bronchial tree and lungs. A chest X-Ray may then be advised. Chronic bronchitis or atypical asthma(without wheezing) are possibilities. A sinus infection with postnasal drip is less likely. Treatment may include a course of antibiotics and an inhaler.
