Is there a relation between diabetes and uti infection of e. coli which is resistant to ciprofloxacin? what causes the resistance of the organism?

Uti: certainly urinary tract infections are more common in diabetics. Resistance to certain antibiotics has very little to do with diabetes. Resistance has more to do with previous antibiotic exposure and possibly exposure to organisms potentially from other people which are resistant to antibiotics

Common: Diabetes and UTI common not uncommon t o have a resistant clone if u take cipro (ciprofloxacin) or any abx too often
