DM: Diabetic nephropathy can occur in any diabetic. If you have symptoms of urinary tract infection, these lab results are supportive. They do not suggest nephropathy. E. Coli is often resistant to cipro (ciprofloxacin).

Yes it can: yes it can be there regardless of blood sugar control; resistant E. coli needs to be treated with sensitive antibiotics. ESBL POSITIVE e.coli needs higher antibiotics
