I feel like i have a bit of a cold, a really scratchy throat and a cough, is there something that's been going around lately? i usually never get sick and when i do it's usually just minor and goes away in a day or so. this one is kind of sticking around.

Flu: There is flu epidemic going around although other viral infections may also be possible. The flu shots this year are only about 50% effective. There is a drug you can take that may reduce the duration and severity of your symptoms but must be taken in the 1st 48 hrs after symptoms started. As for the cough, it may linger on for a few weeks for some people.
