Rhinosinusitis: Chronic inflammation of the nose and sinuses can cause post-nasal drip with irritating drainage. This can cause a sore throat and cough. Try rinsing your nose thoroughly with saline solution. There are several devices like the neil-med sinus rinse bottle which are very effective.
