?neuralgia: This could be due to an irritable superficial nerve in your scalp which usually resolves on its own. However if there is associated redness and tenderness, then an inflammation of the scalp is suggested. It is doubtful that there is an intracranial cause for your symptoms. Have your physician examine you and he/she will order any appropriate tests or imaging if it's felt advisable or treat thescalp
