Alcohol?: If i remember correctly, the alt is more sensitive to alcohol effects on liver tissue and increases before the ast. If you stop alcohol for about three weeks and the number normalizes, you have your answer.

What are the actual: Results? Do you take alcohol? Why were the tests ordered? All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is in the best position to interpret the results. In the mean time, if you drink alcohol, stop doing that.
