See a doctor: likely post viral However, pain in the calf can be associated with deep vein thrombosis. If you are certain it is muscular and not diffuse pain, then you can wait to see if gets better. DVT pain is usually in the deep tissues under the fat upper part of the calf, often worse when squeezed or walking. This is usually treated with blood thinners that should be under the supervision of a doctor.
