A member asked:

My throat is red at the back but no pain been like this for months what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergies? Infected?: Redness on the throat sounds like there could be a throat infection, more likely if one has a sore throat and some swollen lymph node glands in the neck. A primary care doctor can evaluate to see what the problem is, and prescribe antibiotics if there is a strep throat infection. "Months" is a long time, so the doctor will think of allergies, irritants, or stomach reflux as possible causes too.
