Unfortunately.....: Even if you have endoscopy with an improperly cleaned scope chances of catching something are low, but the possibility of catching something like Hepatitis C is possible. For this reason there is a very strict protocol for cleaning endoscopy equipment. If you simply touched the scope there is virtually no chance of contracting anything.
