Seems high: For a severe sinus infection I would prescribe 45 mg / kg /day divided in 2 doses. Your child is 40 lb which is 18 kg. She should have about 800 mg / day which would be 400 mg twice a day. That would only be 5 cc every 12 hours. Double check with your doctor about this.
