Lump: A "lump" coming on that fast would make me suspicious for an abscess or some type of infection. She should be seen.

Hematoma: She may have hit her head on part of the bed frame during the night and caused a small blood clot under the skin. An insect bite is another possibility. Best to see the doctor to check it out. Hope this helps!
