About URI: Upper respiratory tract infections typically present with a combination of symptoms, which can include sore throat,earache, headache, low grade fever, nasal congestion, aches/pains, and fatigue. Swollen glands can occur. They are typically caused by viruses, which do not respond to antibiotics; in fact, if the virus is EBV, antibiotic can cause a rash. Treatment is sleep, fluids, treat symptoms.
