Swelling: can continue to some extent even months later. Stiffness adds to swelling and seeking can cause stiffness too Motion helps as the hand drains better when helped by making a fist. Ice even now. And. Gentle elevation. At times a compression wrap or glove but too much wrapping can increase stiffness. A hand therapist can help with much of this too
