NO & NO: Does not cause these. Mainly causes very dry lips. Common problems include dry skin, mouth, nose, eyes. There can be nose bleeds. Headaches are sometimes a serious problem. All these are worse if you take vitamin pills which include vit A. The vitamin in food is different and is OK. The evidence for depression or inflammatory bowel disease is weak and probably is not a complication.
