A 50-year-old male asked:
Currently my tegretol level is 7.6. how much will the addition of prozac raise tegretol or would zoloft (sertraline) be a better choice?

Neither: The selective serotonin repute inhibitors (SSRI's) - that includes Prozac and Zoloft (sertraline) - are relatively contraindicated with tegretol - doe not mean that they cannot be used - just means they must be used with caution and other alternatives should be tried first.
