Usually no: 1000mg of acetaminophen daily is a safe dose provided you do not abuse alcohol. One modest drink a day for most people is safe. Mouth cleanse for this purpose is unnecessary.

Unlikely: 1000mg a day is a low dose. However tylenol (acetaminophen) is a known cause of liver failure. Have your MD run some liver tests to check your liver function.
