Otitis: This sounds as if your head cold has produced obstruction of the eustacian tube and middle ear infection is possible. On the other hand, pharyngeal inflammation may produce referred pain to the ear. You should go and be seen and evaluated by your primary care physician. You might also try decongestants and nasal irrigation with saline using a Neti-pot. Good luck and wish you better soon.
