Possible?: I don't know if it's been proven but thinking about the anatomy I suppose it's possible. The xyphoid process is located over the stomach so I suppose if it's enlarged in some way and the stomach becomes expanded when you eat the enlargement of the xyphoid could cause the stomach to move and send up an eructation (a burp). Maybe??
