No: The diagnosis of temporal arthritis is made by biopsy of the artery. If this is the underlying problem do not delay because vision can be affected.

Forget it: Here you go again on the temporal arteritis kick. An MRI is not reliable. Biopsy is needed if anyone in their right mind suspects giant cell arteritis in a 21 year old.
