Liver inflammation: It sounds like these liver function enzyme tests are both high and abnormal. Your liver is under some strain and finding the cause is very important so that whatever is causing this is stopped and your liver is allowed to heal. The two most common issues are too many medications, especially tylenol (acetaminophen) or too much alcohol.

Liver enzymes: Ast and alt are liver enzymes. The values you provide are mildly elevated. Ast and alt elevations are often seen when there is damage to liver cells. Liver damage can result from many reasons, including medications, alcohol, obesity, genetic conditions, and many others. Accutane can cause liver enzyme elevations. Your healthcare provider could help you determine the cause.
