5 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

Definition: In general terms any growth can be referred to as a tumor. There are 2 kinds of tumors benign which are not generally life threatening and those which are malignant. The malignant tumors are the ones referred to as cancers. In other words all solid cancers are tumors (malignant) but all solid tumors are not cancers.
