A member asked:

How is writing therapy beneficial for a person?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many ways: Writing helps us organize and collect our thoughts and feelings. Different parts of the brain are engaged when we speak vs. Write, and sometimes the act of committing our internal dialogue to the written word is very helpful. Also, documenting our emotional process from time to time to go back and examine can be a useful way to gauge progress.
