Maybe: Antibiotics should be reserved for those with bacterial infection. Post nasal drip is one symptom of sinus infection. Other symptoms are headache/pressure in the face/cheek bones especially with leaning forward, cough, bad breath, discolored nasal discharge and sometimes tooth pain. When these symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks, sinus infection is likely. Allergies cause ongoing post nasal drip too.
