I think i have put my body into starvation mode. i generally eat nothing or 1 small meal a day. i have very high cloresterol. now am gaining weight. ?

Low metabolism: If you starve your body long enough, it will try to conserve energy and slow down metabolism. If your metabolism slows down, calories eaten will burn off slower and you will gain more weight for the same amount of food eaten as compared to if you were eating normally and have a faster metabolism.
