Ophthalmologist: Choose whichever one you feel most comfortable with. The ophthalmologist are medical doctors of the eye. The optometrist is skilled at optical physics of the eye and does not prescribe medications, which is what you need.

An ophthalmologist: Do any of them have fellowship in glaucoma? Board certified? You will be visiting them at least three times a year, therefore, office location, do they accept your insurance, is also important.

Ophthalmologist : Choose a board-certified ophthalmologist. If your glaucoma is severe, you may want to find a glaucoma specialist. Stop seeking opinions, and find one close to home and who makes you feel comfortable.
