A member asked:

I have open angle glaucoma. will a cervical epidural cortisone injection shot cause eye pressure to rise with possible progression of glaucoma. one of my ophthalmologists said yes, the other said no because its a small amount?

If you're instilling glaucoma eye drops daily, I think your intraocular pressures should remain controlled. The corticosteroid dose used is substantial & can have some systemic effect. You can always get your eye pressures checked a couple of days after the epidural injection.
