Cardiomyopathy: A weak heart condition thought to be caused by pvc's and reversed in some cases with the pvc's treated. Because pvcs and cardiomyopathy are frequent together, t his form of cardiomyopathy is somewhat controversial.

Type of hear failure: Usually, occasional premature ventricular beats (PVC's) are normal, but when you have more than about 5,000/24hrs., they may begin to wear down the strength of the heart, over time. Treating the PVC's often corrects the problem. See heart rhythm specialist.
