Hemorrhoids: Hemorrhoids are permanent. Although they may recede they usually return. They can become inflamed and occlude(thrombosis), which is a surgical emergency. There are several ways of treating them including diet, fiber and surgical intervention. Pelvic pain can come from ovarian cysts, endometriosis, tumors, infection(pid), diverticulitis, appendicitis, etc. A pelvic exam and ultrasound can help.
