At 5 years: 30% on average. Response rates to first therapy much better, but high rates of recurrence. Good luck.

It Varies: Many factors determine the prognosis of patients with pcnsl including the extent of disease, its response to treatment, underlying immune problems like hiv/aids, and others. With aggressive chemotherapy or a combination of chemotherapy and radiation, patients with normal immune systems can survive on average about 3-4 years. This means some people's tumors return early, but others are cured.
