Multiple options: Tooth wear is common, but treatment options will depend on the etiology. See a dentist to find out why you are getting tooth wear. It commonly is due to bruxism, erosion, or a combination of both. Treatments will range from modifying habits, possibly a restoration, or even night guard. For patients with acid reflux, it is primarily erosion resulting in a process called perimolysis.

Cause? then.....: See your dentist to figure out the cause, discuss ways to prevent further damage to your teeth and whether or not restorations to replace the missing parts of the teeth should be restored.
