They work well.: In fact if they don't work it is reasonable to reconsider whether or not your symptoms are due to allergy. I think you will have to talk this over with your doc. You may simply need more medication or the addition of another agent.

Usually works: The treatment of allergies includes avoidance of the allergen, medications and allergy injections. While most people respond favorably to allergy medications, not everyone has a good response. If avoidance is not practical, then treatment with allergy injections may be a good next step.
