Yes: If your son is able to sleep thru the night without getting up to eat or drink, and is able to make it thru his school day without demonstrating this behavior, then it is a serious psychological issue and an evaluation is in order. If he is waking and having hunger issues at school, it could be a physical issue. Either way you need help, so call your pediatrician asap!

? Behavior problem: If he is sleeping well and has no problem at school I would have scheduled meal times, wouldn't give junk food, keep an eye on his weight. Explore to see if this is an attention seeking behavior and try to identify any stressor.
