Use sunblock: Limes can cause phytophotodermatitis, a form of allergy that is activated by the sun. Usually it develops as red, slightly blistery, itchy patches and streaks on the skin. Tan freckles on the backs of your hands are more likely to be caused from excessive sun exposure, although drops of lime juice might have contributed.
