Migraines : It is not uncommon to have signs of neurological dysfunction associated to migraines as part of an aura presentation. In fact, 20% of migraine sufferers have an aura near the onset of the headache. Most of the aura or premonitory symptoms are visual disturbances, but sensory, cognitive and verbal impairment have been recognized. Birth control pills are not recommended in this group of patients.
