Can i drink alchohol if i have a tooth infection?

No: Alcohol is not recommended. It compromises the immune system and if you are on antibiotics it will negate them.

Not a good idea!: If you have been diagnosed with a dental infection, you were probably given some antibiotics? Some antibiotics such as Metronidazole should never be taken with alcohol. Also, are you taking any pain meds for pain related to the infection? Alcohol should not be consumed with several pain meds including otc pain meds such as tylenol (acetaminophen).
