Throat abscess: An abscess is usually caused by a bacterial infection that leads to pus that accumulates in a closed space. I am not clear as to the the exact location you described in your question. Was the diagnosis of abscess made by a medical provider? Has treatment for the cause of the abscess been prescribed?
