A systemic arthritis: Sort of a confusing presentation. From the time of worsening it sounds like plain old osteoarthritis but from the wide distribution it sounds like a systemic origin like rheumatoid, systemic lupus or paget's disease. Widespread joint pain can also occur with hiv/aids, hepatits c or even gout. You need lab work, x-rays and a good history and physical by a doctor to sort this pain.
