Soft Toric or RGP: It depends on how much astigmatism you have and whether it is regular irregular. Your eye doctor can determine this. For small amounts of regular astigmatism, toric soft lenses should work well. For larger amounts or irregular astigmatism, rigid gas permeable lenses work better. Laser vision correction can also be used to treat moderate degrees of regular astigmatism.

RGP or Toric: Depending on the level of astigmatism, a spherical rigid lens can neutralize lower levels of astigmatism. Higher levels of astigmatism benefit from toric lenses which are designed to correct astigmatism.
