How do peptic ulcers affect stomach functioning?

Ulcers: Ulcers themselves may not effect stomach function at all. It may cause pain and rarely block the stomach exit. The treatment is to remove the cause of ulcers and acid reducing medication. Acid medicine may decrease absorption of certain nutrients.
