Homeostasis: We are constantly losing small amounts of water through perspiration - this is part of homeostasis. Some sweat more at rest than others. If you are sweating excessively, it could be you have an illness or if you are very overweight or obese, sweating would be common due to the extra burden of the increased weight. If it is extreme, visit your md to have them determine the cause.
