Nerve stimulation: It being cold enough to stimulate the nerves in that area to elicit a painful response. There are different kinds of nerve receptors in our body to alert us to danger such as cold, hot, pressure, etc. That is what they are there for. They are merely doing their job. Be grateful that you have them.
