A member asked:

Protein in urine and leukocytes. what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to your doctor: Leukocytes in urine can indicate inflammation or infection. Inflammation will cause protein loss as well. If you have a urinary tract infection, have it treated and re-check your urine. If it normalizes, do not worry. If no infection, more studies are needed to find out why there is kidney inflammation. It helps to quantify the protein loss. If severe, can lead to kidney failure.
